1 arrested after man fatally shot in Dallas, police say

 

Police responded to a shooting call in the 10300 block of Gardner Road shortly after 9:30 p.m. and found Byron Thompkins, 44, shot.

DALLAS — One was arrested after a man was shot and killed in Dallas Sunday.

Police responded to a shooting call in the 10300 block of Gardner Road shortly after 9:30 p.m. and found Byron Thompkins, 44, shot.

Dallas Fire-Rescue took Thompkins to a local hospital, where he later died, officials say.

An investigation determined Don Solomon, 63, shot Thompkins after an argument, according to police.

Solomon was arrested on a murder complaint and booked into the Dallas County Jail, records show.
