1 hospitalized, 2 arrested after shooting at North Texas motel, police say

 

Officers were called to the shooting at the motel shortly after midnight Wednesday.

WHITE SETTLEMENT, Texas — One person was hospitalized and two people were arrested after a shooting at a motel in White Settlement early Wednesday, according to police.

Officers were called to a shooting at the Scottish Inns motel in the 600 block of Interstate 820 shortly after midnight Feb. 5, according to police.

Police said officers apprehended the suspected shooter and detained another person in connection with the incident shortly after they arrived.

A man was found shot in the parking lot and taken to a local hospital for treatment, officials said. Officers also recovered a firearm at the scene that was believed to have been used during the shooting, police said.

Police are still investigating and trying to determine what led up to the shooting.

Officials with the Sansom Park Police Department, Lakeside Police Department, Westworth Village Police Department, the Fort Worth Police Department and the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office also responded to assist.
