1 killed, 2 injured in Dallas motel shooting, police say

Officers responded to a shooting call at Grand Inn in Dallas overnight.

DALLAS — One person was killed and two others were injured in a Dallas motel room Sunday night, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call around 10:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Grand Inn located at 220 W. Camp Wisdom Road, police on the scene told WFAA.

One man was found dead in a motel room, police said. Two other people were found with non-life-threatening injuries and taken to a hospital, police said. One woman had a gunshot wound to her leg and another man had a gunshot wound to the chest, officers said.

Police say one of the two who were injured is in critical condition and one is in stable condition.

Dallas police did not release any information about potential suspects but investigators believe there may have been a gunfight based on the number of shell casings found inside and outside of the motel, police said.
