Fort Worth police said one person was shot and killed in the 2200 block of E. Lancaster Ave on Thursday.
FORT WORTH, Texas — A man was shot and killed Thursday after getting into a verbal altercation, according to Fort Worth police.
The Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD) said officers responded Thursday to the 2200 block of E. Lancaster Avenue for a shooting call. When officers got to the scene, they found the man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment and did not survive, FWPD said.
FWPD said their investigation revealed that the man and a suspect got into a verbal altercation, then the suspect shot the man and ran away.
No arrests have been made in connection to this shooting, police said.
