1 person killed at Fort Worth nightclub —again, police say

 

El Gallito Nightclub, located several blocks north of the Stockyards was the site of another fatal shooting, according to Fort Worth police.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth police are investigating a fatal shooting at a nightclub in north Fort Worth. It’s the second fatal shooting at the location within a week. 

The Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD) responded to a shooting call at 3:59 a.m. Sunday, May 19 to the 3200 block of N. Main Street, according to a release from FWPD. Officers found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. 

The victim was transported to a hospital where he died of his injuries, police said. 

Detectives found that the victim got into a verbal altercation with unidentified suspects early Sunday morning. Both the victim and suspect left the location but later returned. The victim then confronted the suspect and his group. Both parties fired gunshots at each other, according to police. 

The suspect has not been apprehended and homicide detectives are investigating the incident, police said. 

Police did not immediately release any additional information about the victim.
