GARLAND, Texas — A woman is dead and another is injured after they were involved in a crash with a City of Garland vehicle Saturday afternoon.
According to the Garland Police Department, around 12:45 p.m., officers and paramedics responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and Firewheel Parkway.
Police said when officers arrived, they discovered that a minivan and a City of Garland vehicle had crashed in the intersection.
According to police, two women were in the minivan during the crash; one was taken to the hospital and the other was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the driver of the city vehicle was not injured in the crash.
Garland PD says this is an ongoing investigation and the identities of those involved are not being released at this time.
