15-year-old girl charged with murder in shooting of 18-year-old in Dallas

 

18-year-old Jake Reynosa was shot and killed in Victory Park. A 15-year-old girl has been arrested and charged with Capital Murder in the shooting.

DALLAS — A teenage girl has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of an 18-year-old man in Dallas, police say.

Dallas Police Department says they responded to a shooting call Sunday around 5:15 a.m. in the area of N. Houston St. and Nowitzki Way in the Victory Park neighborhood of Dallas. 

There, police found 18-year-old Jake Reynosa shot in the street. DPD says he was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

Police say their early investigation suggests Reynosa was approached by multiple people on the scene and was shot. Officers tried to pull over suspects, but they ran, according to DPD.

Dallas Police Department announced they have arrested a 15-year-old girl and charged her with Capital Murder. Her identity will not be released since she is a minor.
