16-year-old in car shoots, kills 2 men in eastern Dallas, police say

 

The Dallas Police Department said the shooting happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 3300 block of Cedar Lake Drive.

DALLAS — Two men were killed in a shooting Friday night in the eastern part of Dallas, police said. 

The Dallas Police Department (DPD) said officers responded to a shooting call at approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 3300 block of Cedar Lake Drive. When they got to the scene, DPD officers found out that two men and a suspect in a car got into an argument, then the suspect shot both men. 

One of the victims, 35-year-old Alejandro Ramirez, died at the scene, according to DPD. The other man, 39-year-old Adriel Ramirez, was transported to a local hospital and died from his injuries, DPD said.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 16-year-old identified as the suspect. Police did not release the teen’s name due to his age. 

The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
