$17 million renovation project at Great Wolf Lodge expected to be done this year

The project, which began in 2023, will include new attractions like an immersive laser tag experience, a mini bowling alley, an expanded arcade, and more.

GRAPEVINE, Texas — Great Wolf Lodge is making progress on an estimated $17 million renovation project that will add new entertainment and dining options to the Grapevine indoor water park resort.

The changes are expected to be done by the end of the year.

The project, which began in 2023, will include new attractions like an immersive laser tag experience, a mini bowling alley, an expanded arcade, a new live-action game called MagiQuest Adventure, and an unannounced new attraction.

Great Wolf Lodge will also expand its buffet, Timbers Tables & Kitchen, and add more dining options, including a new full-service restaurant called Fireside and quicker options like Pretzelmaker and FatBurger.

The great lobby will also be redesigned and serve as the site of a new immersive storytelling feature called The Legend of Luna. The outdoor pool area will also get more deck space and a new bar called The Outpost.

The project touted as a “transformation” of the 600-plus-room resort, is the largest renovation project in the resort’s history since it opened in 2007.

“The focus of this renovation project is to enhance the guest experience and provide even more exciting attractions and dining options for the families that visit, as Great Wolf Lodge is more than just a water park,” Great Wolf Lodge said in a press release.

Great Wolf Lodge says the project is expected to create 25 jobs.
