18-wheeler dangling from overpass on I-35W in Fort Worth causes traffic jam Thursday

Multiple lanes of Interstate 35 were closed in Fort Worth after a crash early Thursday that left an 18-wheeler dangling from an overpass

The Texas Department of Transportation confirmed the crash causing at least two northbound lanes to close about 3:22 a.m.

Fort Worth police said in a news release that the truck was traveling northbound on I-35W at Everman Parkway when it left the roadway and struck the guardrail, partially going over it.

The driver was extricated from the truck and uninjured, police said.

As of 8 a.m., crews were still working to remove the truck from the bridge and roadway.

It was unclear when the lanes would reopen.
