ORIGINAL STORY: A kidnapping incident on the West Side resulted in the arrest of two teen suspects and left a 22-year-old man injured, according to San Antonio police.

Officers were dispatched to a missing person call on Pipers Creek late Wednesday night after the victim’s parents reported their son had called, saying he needed $3,000 or he would be killed.

While officers were at the scene, the victim’s vehicle arrived with four suspects and the victim inside.

Upon seeing the officers, the suspects fled with the victim still in the car. Police later spotted the vehicle on Potranco Road near Highway 151 and attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects continued southbound.

The vehicle eventually stopped on Historic Old Highway 90, where the suspects fled on foot.

Officers, with assistance from the police helicopter, apprehended a 19-year-old woman and an armed 18-year-old man, according to SAPD.

The victim was found in the vehicle with facial injuries, reportedly from being pistol-whipped, police said.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities search for the two remaining suspects.
