The unofficial start of summer kicks off this weekend as Memorial Day approaches. While it will be a warm weekend overall with highs in the 80s, there is a chance for scattered storms, especially on Memorial Day itself.
Here’s what you can expect in the days ahead:
For most of Sunday it’ll be warm and humid.
However, throughout the day there will at least be a chance for a storm or two.
Sunday night, storms will once again develop west near the border, losing intensity as they move toward the Alamo City.
A disturbance will roll across the state on Monday, sparking up widely scattered, hit-or-miss showers and storms
Coverage will be about 40-50%.
This is important to keep in mind: it will not be a washout for everyone, and some will miss out on the rain entirely. But, if you happen to get a thundershower, localized heavy rain with minor flooding is possible.
Large, damaging hail is NOT a concern.
