BIRMINGHAM, Ala – The Texas A&M volleyball team announced an exciting schedule of challenging SEC games for the 2024 season Wednesday.
“I believe that the SEC was one of the best conferences in the country last year and we got stronger with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma,” head coach Jamie Morrison said. “We are looking forward to the challenge of SEC play once again this year.”
The league slate starts Friday, Sep. 27 when the Maroon & White host Texas inside Reed Arena for the Longhorns’ SEC debut.
The 16-game conference schedule features eight games apiece at home and on the road. The Aggies play home-and-home against Texas and LSU while playing the other 12 league opponents once each.
The home portion consists of four Friday and Sunday weekends. The Aggies host Missouri two days after their league opener (Sep. 29). Weekends against Florida (Oct. 18) and Arkansas (Oct. 20); Alabama (Nov. 1) and Mississippi State (Nov. 3); and Georgia (Nov. 22) and LSU (Nov. 24) are also on the docket.
The Aggies have a pair of three-game road league stretches. The first comes with two Sunday matches sandwiched around at Wednesday contest with games at Auburn (Oct. 6), Ole Miss (Oct. 9) and LSU (Oct. 13). Texas A&M faces Kentucky (Nov. 8), Tennessee (Nov. 10) and SEC newcomer Oklahoma (Nov. 13).
Another Lone Star Showdown match against Texas is booked for Friday, Oct. 23 in Austin.
The regular season schedule wraps up Saturday, Nov. 30 at South Carolina.
