3 firefighters injured in Johnson County house fire, officials say

 

According to officials, firefighters were inside the home when a partial roof collapse occurred.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Texas — Three firefighters were injured in Johnson County while dousing the flames of a house fire Wednesday afternoon, officials said. 

According to Johnson County Emergency Management, a report of a structure fire on CR-819N came in at 2:35 p.m. Upon arrival, officials said crews found a double-wide modular home fully engulfed in flames. 

Officials said while fighting the fire, a partial roof collapse occurred in the area where firefighters were working inside the home. Three firefighters, one from Keene Fire Rescue and two from Joshua Fire Department, suffered minor injuries during the collapse, officials said. 

According to emergency management, all three firefighters were taken to Hugley Hospital by a CareFlite ground ambulance as a precaution. Their condition was not immediately clear. 

Officials said no other injuries were reported and no one was inside the home during the fire.
