SAN ANTONIO – Two people were taken to a hospital after a house caught on fire on the East Side, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
The fire was reported just before 6 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Zerrcliff Lane.

Upon arrival, SAFD said they rescued two residents from inside the home, along with a third person who was in the yard.
SAFD said the third person may not currently need to be taken to the hospital.
Fire officials did not specify the severity of injuries for all three residents.
According to the fire department, firefighters were able to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
