The missing child and his mother — who does not hold custodial rights — were found in Richardson, police said. Per police, the mother is now in custody.

DENTON, Texas — An AMBER Alert was issued late Thursday night for a 4-year-old boy from Denton — and then canceled less than two hours later when the boy was located in Richardson early Friday morning, according to police.

The Denton Police Department issued an AMBER Alert shortly before 11 p.m. on Thursday, and then just before 1 a.m. announced that the missing child had been located.

The police also announced that the child’s mother, 40-year-old Selena Grasty, was in custody.

According to police, Grasty is the non-custodial parent of the child for whom the AMBER Alert was issued.

The two were located together in Richardson, police said.
