52-year-old man killed in North Richland Hills shooting, police say

 

According to police, the shooting happened Wednesday evening.

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — A 52-year-old man was killed in a shooting Wednesday evening in North Richland Hills, police said. 

According to the North Richland Hills Police Department, officers responded to the 7300 block of Stonybrooke Drive around 10:57 p.m. to several reports of gunshots being heard in the area. 

Police said officers found a man, later identified as Brian Pence, who had been shot by gunfire while inside his home. 

According to police, Pence was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. 

North Richland Hills PD said this is an active investigation and updates will be provided when they feel it will not compromise investigative efforts.
