8 cars burned, 13 others damaged in Dallas parking garage fire, officials say

 

Around 40 firefighters responded to the scene and got the fire under control by around 6 a.m., officials said.

DALLAS — Eight vehicles were burned in a parking garage fire at a Dallas apartment complex early Wednesday, officials said.

The fire happened at the Inwood Station Apartments at 2727 Inwood Road, near the medical district in northwest Dallas, according to a Dallas Fire-Rescue news release.

Firefighters had responded to a report of a vehicle fire and arrived to find heavy smoke coming out of the third floor of the parking garage.

Around 40 firefighters responded to the scene and got the fire under control by around 6 a.m., officials said.

Eight vehicles were found to be burned and 21 had damage of some kind from the heat, according to the release.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire has not been determined yet.
