Rain chances continue for San Antonio through Thursday

It’s been a hot and dry summer, as South Central Texas experiencing the worst drought since 2011. Needless to say, we all could use a little rain, so it’s encouraging to see that many areas saw healthy rains Monday night.

While we won’t see another widespread, heavy rainfall event this week, a stalled front will keep the chance for at least *some* rain in the forecast through Thursday.

Watch storms develop, move through San Antonio and South Texas with a live, updating Doppler radar.

Here’s what you need to know:

WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY (40%)

The stalled front will allow for scattered light-to-moderate rain at times Wednesday and Thursday.
NOTE: Because of the *scattered* nature of the rain, it will NOT rain everywhere. The overall coverage will be 40%.
Because of extra cloudiness and scattered rain, temperatures will only be able to reach into the upper-80s. Pretty nice for August!

THE WEEKEND

Rain chances will dwindle as we head into the weekend. Temps will rise into the mid-90s.
