2 men, 2 woman arrested after SAPD tracks stolen car to West Side apartment

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police arrested four people after an investigation into a vehicle theft led officers to the Alazan Apache Courts on the West Side.

Police said the stolen vehicle was first spotted at around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 1000 block of San Fernando. The vehicle was parked and occupied, and a detective maintained surveillance and asked for backup.

The car drove off and police attempted to pull it over in the 400 block of NW 24th Street.

The car did not pull over and continued to evade police, according to SAPD. Officers called off the pursuit and, instead, the Eagle helicopter followed its whereabouts.

The car eventually made its way to the Alazan Apache Courts, and the occupants of the vehicle ran inside a unit.

Police removed the people inside one-by-one and apprehended eight individuals. However, four people were released from custody at the scene.

Two men, ages 26 and 35, and two women, ages 27 and 35, were arrested and booked on various charges, police said.
