Robbery suspect facing multiple charges after stealing lottery tickets and evading deputies, BCSO says

SAN ANTONIO – A man who authorities say robbed a West Bexar County convenience store is facing additional charges after he ran from deputies twice, according to records.

Trevion Warner, 25, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with robbery and two counts of evading arrest, records with the Bexar County Jail show. He was also booked on two previous, unrelated marijuana charges.

BCSO deputies said that on Aug. 27, Warner went inside Circle K in the 13700 block of Potranco Road and went to the bathroom.

While he was in the bathroom, a woman went inside the store and asked the clerk for paper towels. She said her boyfriend threw up in the car, so the clerk handed her paper towels and gloves.

The woman returned to the car and the clerk also went outside to check a gas pump for a forgotten gas card, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

When the clerk returned to the store, he noticed Warner duck behind the counter, the affidavit states.

He asked Warner if he stole anything and Warner replied “get out or stay out of my way or I will shoot you,” the affidavit states.

The suspect then fled the store and got inside a white SUV, which was also occupied by the woman who asked for napkins.

The clerk went to the checkout counter and noticed the suspect stole scratch-off lottery tickets, deputies said.

He was able to write down the vehicle’s license plate, and deputies spotted the SUV at a gas station further east on Potranco Road.

Deputies pulled the vehicle over and Warner ran off, leaving the woman and her two juvenile children in the car, the affidavit states.

Authorities said they found the stolen lottery tickets, two handguns and marijuana inside the vehicle. A warrant for his arrest was issued on that same day, which was also his birthday.

Records show he tried to evade authorities for the second time on Wednesday, resulting in the second count.

His bond is set at $30,000, records show.
