Man arrested in 21-year-old woman’s shooting death in South Dallas, police say

DPD said they got a call at 7:40 p.m. on Oct. 3 and sent officers to the 4100 block of Hamilton Avenue.

DALLAS — A 31-year-old man has been arrested in the shooting death of a 21-year-old woman earlier this month, Dallas police announced.

Police said Cameron Hogg was taken into custody on Thursday and has been charged with murder in the death of Asia Womack.

Around 7:40 p.m. on Oct. 3, police said officers responded to the 4100 block of Hamilton Avenue. That’s in the South Dallas area near South Fitzhugh Avenue and the Dos Equis Pavillion.

When they got there, police said they found Womack on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. 

On Oct. 11, police issued a warrant for the arrest of Hogg.

At this time, police have not released any information about what led to the fatal shooting.
