Boeing and Space Foundation will send student art to space

Boeing and Space Foundation are giving students the opportunity to send their artwork into space as a part of the Art in the Stars program.

Students between the ages of 3 to 18 are expected to submit space-oriented artwork that answers the theme of “Which historical space pioneers inspire you?”

Art entries should highlight diverse historical figures who broke boundaries and blazed trails for those who came after them, according to a release.

The artwork chosen will digitally travel to space aboard the Boeing CST-100 Starliner.

Each student will receive an official “Certificate of Flight” to show that their artwork traveled to space and back.

The deadline to submit artwork is Dec.16 at 6:01 p.m. EST., according to the release.

Art can be submitted online.
