Felony suspect escaped police custody at NE Baptist Hospital, is still on the run, police say

WINDCREST, Texas – Windcrest Police Department is warning the public about a felony suspect who escaped police custody.

Brandon Torrel Epps is wanted for escaping custody Wednesday in addition to evading with a motor vehicle and multiple felony drug charges, according to police.

Authorities said Epps evaded a Windcrest police officer in the 4800 block of Eisenhauer Road on Wednesday. He was later located in a second vehicle during a traffic stop.

Epps attempted to flee from officers but was apprehended. He was taken to Northeast Baptist Hospital for unknown injuries and that’s where police said he was able to escape.

Kaila Woolridge and Jordan Dabney were also taken into custody during the traffic stop.

In a Facebook post, police said they found $2,091 in the vehicle along with the following :

64.1 grams of meth
100.2 grams of MDMA/Ecstasy
34.1 grams of cocaine
3.2 grams of heroin
134.8 grams of Xanax
294.6 grams of THC edibles
89.5 grams of Adderall
61.8 grams of Oxycodone
2mg vials of Hydromorphone (Dilaudid)
5.07 ounces of marijuana

The drugs are believed to belong to Epps, police said.

Woolridge was also found with 0.8 grams of cocaine and 0.125 ounces of marijuana.

Both Woolridge and Dabney were arrested and charged with hindering apprehension. They were booked at the Bexar County Jail.

Police said Epps is approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 220 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
