Man killed in Dallas shooting; one of two suspects found at hospital, police say

Police say the victim was shot multiple times and died in a hospital. An arrest warrant has been issued for a 20-year-old in connection to the shooting.

DALLAS — Dallas police are looking for a second possible suspect in connection to a deadly shooting Saturday night. Officer say the first suspect was found injured in a hospital.

< a href="https://dpdbeat.com/2023/01/22/capital-murder-9100-skillman-street/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The department said they responded to a shooting call at 6:19 p.m. on Jan. 21 in the 9100 block of Skillman Street.

When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. They started CPR until he was taken to a hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.

The victim hasn’t been identified at this time.

While at the scene, detectives learned that one suspect might be at a hospital with a gunshot wound. It’s not clear if it was the same hospital where the victim was taken.

Officials later confirmed that it was one of the murder suspects. They identified him as 20-year-old Maliki Brown.

According to police, a capital murder warrant has been issued for Brown and they’re now looking for any other suspects. The department confirmed with WFAA that Brown is still in the hospital.
