San Antonio area likely to get beneficial rain Tuesday night, Wednesday morning

It’s no secret that we need rain in South Central Texas and San Antonio. Drought persists, so any little bit of rain will help.

Thankfully, showers and even a few storms are likely Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Here’s what you need to know:

Although severe weather is unlikely, a few claps of thunder are possible. This may wake you or startle children and pets.
After the front moves through, scattered rain will continue in the overnight hours — nature’s sound machine!

WEDNESDAY MORNING (FEB. 8)

Scattered, cold, light rain will continue through the morning commute Wednesday. Temperatures will be in the upper-40s, low-50s
By lunch, the rain will be moving east of San Antonio and it will become sunny in the afternoon.

THE REST OF THE WEEK & WEEKEND (FEB. 9-12)

Thursday will be sunny and comfortable with low humidity and a high in the 70s.
A second, but dry cold front will move through Thursday night
Friday will begin in the 30s. It will be a windy, sunny, and cool day with a high in the upper-50s
Saturday will start near freezing, but with sunny skies, it’ll warm up to near 60?
Sunday will feature more clouds and even a few sprinkles. A cool day with a high in the low-60s.
