Further plans for a sixth EMS station located by Lake Somerville will be discussed on Tuesday by Washington County Commissioners.
The court will act on the selection of engineering or architectural service providers and allowing the county judge to enter negotiations regarding terms, cost and project details to complete project implementation for the EMS station.
The facility will be built using Texas Ambulance Supplemental Payment (TASP) funding, donations, or a combination of the two.
In May, commissioners entered into a five-year agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the ability to build, operate and maintain an EMS station and helipad on 1.5 acres near Overlook Park Road and LBJ Drive.
In other items, the court will consider renewing the telemedicine services agreement between the county and the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, through the College of Medicine. It will also potentially accept a bid for the sound system at the Washington County Expo.
An executive session will be held regarding the county engineer.
Also on Tuesday, commissioners will:
Hear presentations of the EMS 2022 annual report and Engineering & Development Services quarterly report.
Act upon updates to the county’s vacation policy
Consider approval of a second amendment to a bid with WEX BANK for fleet station and pump fuel for a maximum of 60 days. The extension is through May 1st.
Discuss a formal notice from Corix Utilities Inc. for a road bore for a one-inch service line at 15805 William Penn Road in Precinct 1.
Discuss a formal notice from AMP Texas Pipelines, LLC for a natural gas pipeline crossing on Sandstone Road in Precinct 4.
Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
