AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Police Department on Thursday announced the arrests of 11 suspects in connection with “street takeover” incidents that occurred in the Capitol city in February.
Police officials said they are still looking for six more suspects.
The arrested suspects were located in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and Austin, a news release said.
More than 30 arrest warrants were issued following an investigation called Operation Burnout by various police agencies, including the San Antonio Police Department, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the Live Oak Police Department, the Selma Police Department, the New Braunfels Police Department, and the Hays County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety.

APD’s Organized Crime Division is still working to identify additional suspects and vehicles and will seek arrest warrants as more evidence becomes available.
