SAPD: Woman hospitalized after shooting at house party, suspect on the run

SAN ANTONIO – A woman is hospitalized with gunshot wounds after San Antonio police said a driver pulled up and opened fire in a West Side neighborhood overnight.

The incident happened just before 1 a.m., Sunday, in the 300 block of Scotty Drive.

Police said a group of people were in the front yard at a house party when a group of men who were uninvited arrived.

One of the men became upset, pulled a gun, and began firing toward several people at the party, SAPD said.

A 24-year-old woman was struck by the gunfire and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to police.

The suspect left the scene and is still on the run. The investigation continues.
