The Bat Signal Goes Up to Defend Biden for Disowning His Young Granddaughter

Joe Biden disowning his own young granddaughter remains perhaps the most perplexing scandal of his presidency, both in its brazenness and its pointlessness. What does Biden gain from refusing to acknowledge Navy Roberts? And why is he so determined to erase her that he’s even instructed his own staffers to say he has only six grandchildren?

I can’t get into his mind, but I can’t think of a reasonable explanation for such grotesque behavior. That’s become a problem for the mainstream press as they’ve tried to navigate the issue.

To its credit, The New York Times did recently write a scathing critique, noting that Biden can’t continue to claim the mantle of decency if he disowns a grandchild to please his degenerate son. But as expected, the mood is already shifting, and it looks like the bat signal has gone up to defend Biden on the matter.

BASH: You know, this is, this is a story that is sad and disturbing on so many levels. Yes, it is political for a couple of reasons. Number one, yes, Republicans are using it and are going to take advantage of it in a way that is unfortunate and inappropriate. But the reason they are doing that, and able to do that, is because of the brand and the kind of person that we all know and believe Joe Biden to be because it’s who he says he is, and it’s someone who is a family man. That’s what we see all of the time.

Where do you start with a statement like that? Let’s remind everyone of the reality here. Joe Biden is attempting to erase the existence of his own granddaughter. It is not Republicans who are the bad guys here, and it is not “unfortunate and inappropriate” for them to point out that Biden’s image as a loving family man is a facade. All of us know Bash would never suggest the immoral behavior of any Republican is off-limits. Yet, that’s exactly what she’s saying when she immediately runs to blame Biden’s opponents and not Biden himself for doing something so awful.

Then there’s the bit of Freudian slip in the second part of her statement. Bash lavishes praise on the president, saying he is “the kind of person that we all know and believe Joe Biden to be.” She quickly couches that with “because it’s who he says he is” as a way to make it sound less personal. What kind of standard is that, though? Is that really how the news industry works these days? A politician just says, “Hey, I’m a great guy” and they swallow it without an ounce of critical thinking?

Biden’s deplorable history, which spans decades, has been out in the open for everyone to see. The president has long treated people like garbage. People like Bash and networks like CNN have chosen to be willfully blind to that reality for political reasons. I would say that makes them culpable at this point.

As a bonus, here’s Whoopi Goldberg cementing just how far some in the press are willing to go.

No, it’s not his baby, but Navy Roberts is his grand-baby. The fact that Hunter Biden wants no part of her offers no reprieve to Joe Biden. Parents are expected to operate independently of the deranged evil of their children. Again, there’s no reasonable explanation here, and that’s why these news networks are flailing so much, desperately trying to come up with one. These are genuinely bad people.
