Texas A&M verses Texas is probably the most intriguing matchup of the weekend for a multitude of reasons. After starting off red hot, the Aggies have cooled off heading into regional play while the Longhorns, who looked like they would be on the outside looking in this year, put together some good games to earn a regional spot. They also bet a very game Louisiana team that won 40 plus games this year to make it into the winners bracket against A&M.
However, the storied rivalry is really the topic to capture the eyes and ears of the college baseball world on Saturday. The former Big 12 mates will have a chance to ruin each other’s weekend early with the potential to end their run to the College World Series before sharing the conference when Texas moves over to the SEC next season. With that all being said there is no better to way to move on to the next round by bouncing your bitter rival early in the process and this game no doubt will be first cut in the rope.
