In a stunning interview with the thought-provoking Canadian psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson, Tesla CEO and Twitter/X owner Elon Musk admitted that he was tricked into allowing his son to “transition” to a different gender and said what occurred was “evil.”
Feeling that he had literally lost his son Xavier, who now identifies as female, Musk said that he “vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that.”
It’s a heartbreaking tale, and the normally ebullient Musk appeared somber in discussing it.
Asked by Peterson why he felt so strongly, the tech mogul told his story:
“Well, it happened to one of my older boys,” the Tesla and SpaceX owner replied. “I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys, Xavier. This was really before I had any understanding of what was going on, and we had COVID going on, so there was a lot of confusion. And I was told Xavier might commit suicide.”
Peterson called rhetoric like that an outright lie:
“That was a lie right from the outset,” Peterson said. “No reliable clinician ever believed that. There was never any evidence for that, and also, if there is a higher suicide rate, the reason is the underlying depression and anxiety and not because of the gender dysphoria. And every god-d*** clinician knows that, too, and they’re too cowardly to come out and say it.”

Perhaps the most poignant moment came when Musk said not only was allowing children to “transition” their gender “evil,” but he felt he’d lost his son.
“It’s incredibly evil,” Musk said. “And I agree with you that the people that are promoting this should go to prison.”
“I was tricked into doing this. It wasn’t explained to me that puberty blockers are actually just sterilization drugs,” he added. “I lost my son, essentially. They call it ‘deadnaming’ for a reason. The reason they call it ‘deadnaming’ is because your son is dead, so my son, Xavier, is dead, killed by the woke mind virus.”

If adult men want to wear dresses, I don’t care. If grown females want to take testosterone and grow a beard, it’s not my concern. But there are two areas where the gender warrior crowd has simply taken things too far: 1) Biological men playing women’s sports, which is wrong, and 2) Experimenting on children too young to make such choices, which isn’t just bad, it’s quite simply what Elon Musk called it—evil. Kids should not be used as weapons in ideology wars, yet that’s what the left has been engaged in. Lives are being ruined because of it.
Musk has proven to be a man of formidable talents, and if he says he’s going to destroy the woke mind virus, then I’m all for it. This kind of twisted pseudo-science has no place in a civilized society. Children should not be given optional drugs whose long-term effects are not well understood, nor should they be given life-altering surgeries that aren’t to cure urgent health issues. It’s frankly hard to believe that such statements have become controversial in this country, but they have, and more people like Musk must fight against these macabre practices.
