LIV Golf Star DeChambeau Wants to Golf With Obama, Harris, ‘Influential People’ After Viral Trump Round

Bryson DeChambeau, arguably the biggest name in LIV Golf and U.S. Open champion, had offered to host a Trump-Biden charity golf match following the June presidential debate.

Biden’s team either did not respond or declined the invitation, so DeChambeau decided to still do the charity round with the former president. DeChambeau received over six million views, over 300 thousand new followers, and, most importantly, raised over 25 thousand dollars for the Wounded Warrior Project.

He had this to say about the charity match:

We were able to call out and ask him to play, and he said yeah, absolutely. He’s obviously a figure that can pull a lot of views, and we thought it would be great to showcase his golfing ability, and he’s a pretty good golfer.

It was a lot of fun to do, and it took a little bit, but we got it approved, and it was fun to shoot. It happened in three days. I think we did it on July 6 on Saturday, so it was a few weeks before all the stuff [the unsuccessful assassination attempt on Trump] went down, and yeah, it was a great time. We had a blast, and again, I look forward to doing a lot more of those with other influential people.

DeChambeau wants to do more charity rounds and invite “influential people,” which includes folks from different political parties. While the country is politically divided, more times than not, sports bring people together. By hosting these matches, DeChambeau is not only donating the money to charity but finding ways to bring people together.

Here is the viral moment when Trump made an eagle (two under par).

Anybody who has played golf knows how difficult it is to make a birdie, let alone an eagle on a par four. Following the shot, Trump had this exchange with DeChambeau:

Trump asked DeChambeau: “You think Biden can do that? I don’t know. We had an argument about golf, can you believe it?”

DeChambeau responded: “I don’t think I can do that.”

It is unclear whether Harris will accept the golfing match or not, but when DeChambeau was asked about that possibility, including inviting former President Barack Obama, he said:

I’m more than willing to play with them. I have no issues whatsoever. The thing about golf is that the more we can utilize golf to bring everyone together in a cool way, I think that’s the vision of the global game of golf.

He continued:

Politicians are divisive figures for sure and I respect and understand that. I think showing the content side of it, creating content, was the most important thing we were trying to accomplish there and raising a lot of money for charity.

Whether you’re a conservative, liberal, libertarian, Trump supporter, or “Never-Trumper,” what Trump did was help raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project which does great work for veterans.

Folks who want to see actual unity should encourage influential people to join DeChambeau’s charity match because you’re doing it for a good cause and will entertain viewers in the process.
