A trial set for next week in federal court between Texas and the Biden administration over the state’s use of a floating river barrier to stop migration will be postponed by 60 days or longer, a judge said Thursday.

The delay comes after the federal government requested an opportunity to reevaluate its case in light of a decision from the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit reversing an injunction Tuesday to allow Texas to use the barrier.
