City of McAllen to Officially Inaugurate New Firefighter Training Facility, August 21st

Come celebrate the completion of the City of McAllen Fire Department Firefighter Training facility.  Built at the location where the McAllen Fire Department currently has its Firefighter Training Tower and fire training equipment, props and accessories, the Firefighter Training Facility will now provide for a one-stop shop training for the McAllen Fire Department and the surrounding area.

The Firefighter Training Facility is on 14.5 acres and features include a large, tiered seating classroom for meetings and trainings; a lobby; restrooms with showers; administrative offices; and conference rooms. The facility also includes accessible parking for staff.  

The total cost of the McAllen Firefighter Training Facility  is $4,642,700.

The project architect is Gignac & Associates, LLP and NM Contracting, LLC is the project contractor. Construction on the project began in April of 2023.
