North Texas gold medal Olympian Nic Fink works homecoming shift at Raising Cane’s

Olympic gold and silver medalist, electrical engineer, and Raising Cane’s team member–how’s that for a resume?

DALLAS — He’s an Olympic gold and silver medalist, an electrical engineer and a Raising Cane’s team member.

Upon returning home to Dallas, Olympic swimmer Nic Fink worked a shift at the popular chicken finger chain, adding yet another job to his stacked resume.

Fink was among the many North Texans in the 2024 Paris Olympics . In his solo event, Fink took home the silver in the 100-meter breaststroke after tying with Britain’s Adam Peaty in a photo finish.

Fink also took home gold in the mixed 4×100-meter medley relay with Team USA and another silver in the 4×100-meter medley relay.

Back in Dallas, where he lives with his wife, Olympic gold medalist and assistant coach for SMU’s women’s swim and dive team Melanie Margalis Fink, Nic Fink suited up in the red and yellow and worked a shift for Team Cane’s.

Fink will add another job title to the resume soon — father. Fink and his wife are expecting their first child soon.
