The City of McAllen Parks and Recreation Department continues to enhance the quality of life by installing new elements in existing parks, including a splash pad addition to Curtis Park. This splash pad, the fourth in the city alongside those at Zinnia Park, Palm View Park, and the McAllen Youth Baseball Complex, covers over 700 square feet and features notable elements such as the Aqualume Soaker with five water-spilling components and a Fun-Brella for a spray umbrella effect. 

The splash pad equipment cost $239,513.24, and the project was completed by contractor TF Harper. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was be held to celebrate this new addition..
