Hottest so far this year, but relief and rain chances come soon

FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS:
  • 105° at SA Int’l today … hottest so far this year
  • A degree or two hotter tomorrow
  • 90s by weekend and next week
  • Small rain chances start tomorrow afternoon
FORECAST:

Today was the hottest day since last August (27th to be exact), and tomorrow should be a degree or two warmer.

We’re expecting a high of 106° tomorrow which would be a new record for the day. Though keep in mind the heat index could reach 111° for a few hours in the afternoon.

It’ll still be hot on Thursday, but temperatures will start to gradually trim back with a high of 103° (would tie the record), then we’re back in the upper 90s Friday through the weekend.

Near average temperatures are expected next week with highs in the mid 90s.

RAIN:

A few splash ‘n dash showers are possible tomorrow from 4pm to 9pm and the same goes for Thursday (20%). Then small chances exist Sunday through most of next week, and if current trends persist, next week may hold more promise.🤞
