FORT WORTH, Texas — A six-year-old boy died in a reported drowning in Fort Worth on Tuesday evening, police said.

Andrew Skinner was identified as the victim, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 5800 block of Westgate Drive in the Marine Creek Ranch neighborhood of northwest Fort Worth, according to a police news release.

Officers responded to a report of a child who had drowned. When they arrived, they found that the child, Skinner, had already been removed from the water, police said. Skinner was taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center, where he died, according to the medical examiner.
