‘Exciting announcement’ on UT-Texas A&M rivalry coming today | Streaming live at 11 a.m.

   

After a 12-year absence the Aggies and Longhorns are renewing their rivalry.

HOUSTON — Today, we expect what the University and Texas and Texas A&M are calling an “exciting announcement” on the renewed rivalry between the schools. With Texas’ move this year, both schools are now in the Southeastern Conference.

That announcement is coming in Houston at a news conference at 11 a.m. here in Houston.

University of Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte and Texas A&M athletic director Trev Alberts will be there and we will stream it live in the video window above.

The “Lone Star Showdown” football rivalry is returning this year after a 12-year absence. The game between the Longhorns and Aggies will be played this year on November 30 at Kyle Field.
