33-inch line break sends water spewing across Fort Worth neighborhood

The break happened near 8597 Trinity Boulevard in the River Trails area of northeast Fort Worth, near Euless.

FORT WORTH, Texas — A 33-inch water main break sent water spewing into the air in Fort Worth on Monday, and reportedly damaged homes and trees in the area, according to officials and pictures from the scene.

The break happened at Trinity Vista Trail and Trinity Springs Trail in the River Trails area of northeast Fort Worth, near Euless.

Fort Worth Water Department officials said a utility crew was doing directional boring when it struck the 33-inch line. Water department crews responded and the break was isolated for repairs to begin shortly.

Water department officials did not anticipate any customers would be without water while repairs were being made, though some customers might see less water pressure.

Photos from the scene showed flooded streets and trees that appeared to be damaged by the water.
