SAN ANTONIO – A North Side home was a total loss after a fire late Thursday evening.
The San Antonio Fire Department arrived at the home in the 2800 block of Whisper Path Street to find flames showing through the roof, according to fire officials on the scene.
SAFD said it took crews over an hour to get the flame under control. The home would be a total loss, they said.
One firefighter was transported to the hospital after sustaining minor injuries to their neck from accidentally being struck by a water stream coming from a fire truck, SAFD said.
Residents who witnessed the home catch fire later shared what they saw with KSAT 12 News on Friday afternoon.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
