Officers discovered a teenage victim with gunshot wounds, and determined a “verbal altercation” had escalated into shots fired.
LONGVIEW, Texas — A teenager in Longview sustained non-life threatening injures from a shooting Saturday.
Longview Police said the attack happened on the 100 block of W. Edgefield around 3:38 p.m. Officers discovered a teenage victim with gunshot wounds and determined a “verbal altercation” had escalated into shots fired.
The suspect responsible for the assault, who has been identified as Alejandro Gonzales, 18, had allegedly left the scene before police arrived to the scene. Detectives located him at a residence in Harrison County.
Gonzales was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently in Harrison County Jail.
