These roads will be impacted by the filming of ‘1923′ Paramount+ series in downtown SA

  

SAN ANTONIO – The filming of a Paramount+ show will impact several closures in downtown San Antonio in the coming weeks.

The closures are to facilitate filming for “1923,” a prequel of “Yellowstone.”

There will be varying closures along Broadway between Pecan and Houston Streets, including East Travis Street and Peacock Alley from Jefferson to Nort Alamo Street starting the week of Sept. 16. Expect delays in this area during this window of time. Due to weather conditions or unforeseen occurrences closure dates may be adjusted.

The City of San Antonio and other local entities are working to facilitate the filming of Paramount+’s TV Series 1923 in downtown (KSAT)

Most area businesses will remain open and accessible, except for the morning of Sept. 23.

Closures will impact the following areas:

September 20-24

  • Sidewalks open except on Sept. 23.
  • Road closure on Broadway from E. Pecan St. to E. Houston St.
  • Road closure on E. Travis St. from Jefferson to N. Alamo St.
  • Road closure on Peacock Alley from Jefferson to N. Alamo St.

September 23

  • FULL CLOSURE OF STREETS & SIDEWALKS on:
    • Broadway between E. Pecan St. and E. Houston St.
    • E. Travis St. from Jefferson to N. Alamo St.
    • Peacock Alley from Jefferson to N. Alamo St.

After filming is completed, sidewalks are estimated to reopen by afternoon.

By or before September 27, 2024

  • Filming closure area will be fully restored; all services will resume normal operations.
