The OutKast star has a long history with Dallas’ Erykah Badu. The pair have a 26-year-old son together.

DALLAS — It was an ATLien invasion in Dallas!

In a reunion straight from the 90s, André 3000 brought out Erykah Badu at a performance in her hometown.

André 3000 and Badu have a long history. In 1997, Badu gave birth to their son, Seven Sirius Benjamin, who is now 26 years old. A number of songs on OutKast’s famous double album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below  were directly inspired by the complicated relationship between the two musicians.

Since then, André 3000 has embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album as a flautist, New Blue Sun, in 2023.

André 3000 is on a tour, sharing a name with his album. Saturday night in Dallas, he reunited with Badu on stage at the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

In a 2020 interview with Rolling Stone, Badu reflected on their fling. Badu and André 3000 met in the 1990s, and according to Badu, were attracted to each other romantically instantly. In the years since, the duo have remained close, Badu says.
