Democratic Lawmaker Goes on Unhinged Rant Against Elon Musk, Jim Jordan, Trump During Hearing

It appears to be high time for Democratic Virgin Islands Delegate Stacey Plaskett to take some time off. In a recent wild-eyed rant during a House hearing on the weaponization of government, she lashed out at all the left’s favorite boogeymen, including former President Donald Trump, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), and X owner Elon Musk.

Plaskett’s unhinged diatribe seems to suggest that she might need a vacation in a mental ward but also that she might just be afraid of what might come out during the hearings.

Plaskett, a ranking member of the select subcommittee, said the purpose of the investigative body is to “test out conspiracy theories, prop up those stories that the far-right wishes to push into the American psyche, and to lay the groundwork for a dictatorial government led by Donald Trump.”

“X, formerly called Twitter, is going to call me a racist. They’re gonna call me a disrespectful black b*tch because I have said words against the chairman, my white male counterpart on this committee, [that] I’m a tool of the woke agenda!” Plaskett claimed on the House floor.

Plaskett continued, taking issue with attacks on the FBI and Justice Department, claiming these entities “serve as a check against white nationalism, great replacement theorists, Christian nationalists, white fragility, fascists, and the twice-impeached convicted felon, former president and would-be dictator Donald Trump.”

She then asserted that “There has been no evidence to show that the federal government, and in particular the Federal Bureau of Investigation…or the Department of Justice has been wholly weaponized against the right.”

The delegate then went so far as to refer to Trump as the Republicans’ “would-be Führer.”

Plaskett went on to parrot the usual Democrat talking points about “disinformation” and claimed the committee is being used to promote “the desires of far-right conspiracy theorists, in particular Elon Musk.”

“To allow them free reign on these platforms, American civilians have been harassed, threatened, doxxed,” Plaskett claimed without a shred of evidence.

In a particularly odd form of grandstanding, Plaskett declared to Musk that “since you think tweeting or X-ing or whatever it is you call you do on your platform about me is gonna scare me to be quiet, you obviously don’t know what I’m made of!”

Of course, Plaskett was merely putting on a performance, giving the nation a bit of cringe political theater. But, if she is right, and there has been no weaponization of government, then what is she afraid of?

The truth is that Plaskett, as well as her allies, know good and well that they have used various government agencies against Trump and his followers. Indeed, there have been several ways the state has been used as a cudgel against those on the right. They have leveraged the government against Trump, pro-life activists, and gun owners with impunity.

Plaskett either needs to get back on her meds or hope her performance was emotional enough to convince the public to disregard the revelations that are sure to come out of these hearings. Unfortunately for the lawmaker, her acting needs a bit of work.
