Thousands of drones | North Texas town looking to break Guinness World Record for largest drone display

Texas-based Sky Elements is looking to break the world record for the largest drone display.

MANSFIELD, Texas — 7,598 drones. That’s the number the City of Mansfield is looking to beat to make it in the record books.

The City of Mansfield is partnering with Coppell-based Sky Elements to shatter the current Guinness World Record for the largest drone display.

The current record is currently held by Shenzhen Damoda Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese company. The 7,598 drones used in that display more than doubled the previous world record.

But everything is bigger in Texas. A Guinness World Record official will be present to verify the record-breaking attempt.

Good news for North Texans, too. The show is free to attend and watch.

The City of Mansfield will be launching the show at 9 p.m. on Saturday at Mansfield Sports Park. The show will be choreographed to music broadcast at 88.9 FM.
