FORECAST
Hope you’ve had a great start to the weekend!
Sunday will feature similar conditions to what we saw Saturday: lows near 70° in San Antonio followed by partly cloudy skies and more record-challenging heat as highs near the mid-90s. A small, 10% chance for a shower is in the forecast, but the vast majority of our area will stay dry.
Rain chances are unfortunately out of the picture next week as high temperatures stay in the low-to-mid 90s. Another batch of drier air, however, will make for some cooler and pleasant mornings with lows back in the low-to-mid 60s by midweek. At least we have that going for us for now!
HOPE FOR A COOL FRONT?
Looking at forecast data today, there are early indications that we could see a more noticeable cool front by October 13/14. That’s still a long ways away, so we will need to continue to monitor trends. However, highs below 90° could finally be around the corner. We’ll keep you posted!
MONITORING THE GULF
Tropical Storm Milton has formed in the Gulf of Mexico. As of the latest update from the National Hurricane Center, Milton is forecast to move east over the next several days and will likely strengthen into a hurricane before making landfall in Florida on Wednesday.
No impacts to Texas will be found from Milton, but rainfall totals up to 5-10 inches will be a possibility across the Florida Peninsula by the time all is said and done.
