DALLAS — A woman died after being shot in a Dallas field, according to police.
The Dallas Police Department (DPD) said its officers responded to a shooting call shortly before 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 to the 2700 block of Second Avenue. When officers got there, they found 32-year-old Mercedes Taylor shot in a field, DPD said.
Taylor was taken to a local hospital, where she died, according to DPD.
Police identified 21-year-old Damarquis Green as the suspect in the shooting, and he was arrested and charged with murder, DPD said.
Further details about the shooting were not immediately available.
