HEARTLAND, Texas — An AMBER alert was issued Saturday night for a young boy missing from Kaufman County.

According to the Crandall Police Department, Connor Young, a 12-year-old Black male, was reportedly abducted by a Black female, identified as Dorcas Young, 42, out of the Heartland area, which is about 25 miles east of Downtown Dallas.

The child was last seen in the 2800 block of Lolita Way on July 4, 2024, according to police and the Texas Dept. of Public Safety. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a 2023 black GMC Yukon with the license plate number SNH9831.

Connor is described as 5’4″ with brown eyes, and brown hair, and weighs 100 pounds.

The suspect Dorcas is described as 5’4″ with short black hair, and brown eyes and weighs about 230 pounds.

On Oct. 30, Crandall police said it received a tip from an AT&T employee advising that Dorcas Young had sent “concerning” text messages regarding her mental health. The tip prompted officers to stop by Young’s home and when they arrived no one appeared to be home, police said.

That’s when Kaufman County Dispatch started pinging Young’s cell phone which showed her to be in the area of Park Ln and the N. Central Express Way in Dallas, Crandal PD said. Police were able to recover Young’s GMC Yukon at a hotel in Dallas, but are still searching for young.

Authorities said on Saturday, Young’s oldest daughter filed a missing person report on Young and her two siblings, ages 19 and 12 to Crandall PD.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call 911.
